On January 21, 2010, Across The Sky leaked its way onto the Internet. The song just happened to magically pop on the scene a few weeks before I left Oregon, expressing everything that my heart had been wanting to say about my story and my spirituality. The lyrics to this song summed up everything perfectly; “I’m no stranger to deception, I have lied and been lied to, I’m no paragon of virtue, But I wanna be with you. I have never been a righteous soul, and I don’t pretend I am. But I walk the line when I’m with you, ‘Cause you make me believe I can.”
I never at any point throughout the writing of my story wanted to come across as self-righteous, or virtuous. It was the last thing that I wanted. I guess I had my challenges and personal addictions just like every other person on the planet. I always knew, however, that whenever I faced adversity or opposition, my spirit guides and guardian angels would always be there to rescue me. I still had to work hard to prove that I was pulling my weight, but they would always be there to help pick me up when I felt like I couldn’t go any further on my own. And I was also done with blaming others for my circumstances.
